Set in rural farmland of over four acres, La Lohuas has a several discreet
outside areas within it's boundaries. Each with it's own attraction and
character.

The most popular with children is the fenced and secure play area, which
has been designed to ensure that children can "let their hair down" without
disturbing the other guests. Here we have a huge open-fronted barn with
children's toys, sandpit and a table tennis table. An ideal distraction
if ever it rains, but with the added bonus of being shaded from the sun
on the hottest of days. Next to the barn is a large lawned area with a
14 foot trampoline, swings, slide, see-saw and football and badminton
nets.

For a more tranquil environment, away from the gites, take a stroll pass
the old well through the tree-covered pathway down to the grotto. Here
you will find the old farmhouse (the current
farmhouse was built in 1870), an ancient communal bread oven, cider
press and a small stream at the bottom of the hill. This setting provides
a sanctuary for wildlife and birds and boasts a host of different types
of wild flowers. Every morning there is an opportunity for children (and adults too!) to feed the animals with the owner.

A small orchard with Walnut, Apple, Pear and Cherry trees, gives an ideal
setting to relax in the shade on hot sunny days. Many different types
of birds can be seen here and in the evenings a gentle hum of crickets
makes this a special place.
