Relax and unwind in a French holiday cottage (gite), set in beautiful Brittany. La Lohuas Gites in Brittany is surrounded by rolling fields and wooded countryside making this the perfect location to start any holiday. Our farmhouse cottages, Pomme Gite, Poire Gite, Cerise Gite, Abricot Gite and Fraise Gite are amazingly spacious and have been sympathetically modernised to give you practical and beautiful accommodation.

Each of the self-catering holiday cottages, or gites, are situated in a courtyard around the main house. They are all constructed with traditional Breton stone walls under a slate roof, helping to keep them cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Each gite has their own south facing terrace with patio furniture and barbeque. Each gite has been extensively refurbished and modernised to a high standard. All the gites have newly fitted kitchens including electric oven, gas hob and microwave oven

There is a communal laundry area with free use of washing machines, washing lines and pegs. This area is also used to store leaflets on tourist attractions in the area and a detailed map of the area showing where all the local attractions are.

The gites are thoroughly cleaned and prepared prior to each letting. We supply a welcome pack containing coffee, tea, sugar, milk, water, bread, croissants and, of course, wine to enable you to start relaxing here as soon as you arrive. When we prepare the gites for our guests, we pride ourselves in our presentation, cleanliness and attention to detail.

We also have local produce available to purchase on site including Organic Camembert, Organic Cider, Fresh Eggs from our chickens and Milk from our cows. Meals are also available including Pierrade (a hot cooking stone, akin to a barbecue in the middle of your table) fondue, galettes, lasagne and tartiflette.

	Cerise gite Cerise is a spacious 3 bedroomed gite with 1 double room and two twin rooms. The double room has an en-suite shower room and there is a separate upstairs bathroom. A large open plan downstairs with lounge, dining area and a large fitted kitchen area, allowing meals to be prepared in a relaxed sociable environment.
Poire gite Poire is a 2 bedroomed gite with 1 double room and 1 twin each with en-suite shower rooms, there is a newly fitted kitchen/dining room and separate lounge.
	Pomme gite Pomme is a 2 bedroomed gite with 1 double room and 1 twin, there is a newly fitted kitchen/dining room and separate lounge. A downstairs bathroom is equipped with WC, basin and shower.
Abricot gite Abricot is a large three bedroomed gite with one double room, one twin room and a one with bunk bed and single bed. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room and there is a separate bathroom with bath. Downstairs has high oak beamed ceilings, and open plan kitchen with dishwasher. There is a downstairs toilet and wash basin. The living space offers a dining table and a very comfortable sofa and armchairs.
	Fraise gite Fraise is a generous three bedroomed gite with a beautiful high oak-beamed lounge and a separate kitchen/dining room; also on the ground floor is an bedroom providing wheelchair access with a wet-room type ensuite. There are two bedrooms upstairs. A double bedroom with en-suite shower and a twin room with en-suite bathroom.

Our grounds offer peace and seclusion in the form of the grotto area, where you can sit by the stream and read a book or just listen to the wonderful wildlife around you. Away from the gites and the grotto is situated the play area and barn - allowing family games and fun and the barn giving protection against inclement weather and the midday sun (which was necessary last year with temperatures of 43 degrees celsius!). You can also sit an relax in the gardens, or orchard area.

Whatever you are looking for out of a holiday should be easy to find here, the architecture of the area is breathtaking, with large granite stone houses, like La Lohuas, scattered around traditional farming countryside. Beaches on the North Coast of Brittany (about 30 mins drive) are diverse, plentiful and deserted when compared to English beaches.

The gites are all fully equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible, with kitchens containing coffee maker, toaster, kettle, microwave and fridge. There are facilities for a cot and highchair on request.

A welcome hamper is provided in each gite for the start of your Brittany holiday, containing wine, bottled water, tea, coffee, sugar, bread, butter and croissants. Home produced free range eggs are also available.
