La Lohuas Gites in Brittany

New for 2011 - La Lohuas has installed a 10 X 5 meter heated swimming pool with a cover which can be opened up completely for hot summer days. The cover is UV treated, so you and your children can swim without having to worry about sun creams, even when the cover is open because the roof stays in place.

The pool is heated by a heat pump, which is much more effective than solar heating, allowing the water temperature to reach 28° for comfortable bathing. The cover helps keep the water temperature warm, ensuring that 28° is possible from April until the end of October.

Opening times are 9am until 9pm for adults and 10am until 8pm for children - this means that adults can have a relaxing, quiet swim at the beginning or end of the day. The pool is within baby-listener distance of the gites, so when the children are asleep it is possible to swim with the monitor at the poolside.

The swimming pool at La Lohuas conforms to the security and sanitary regulations of the DDASS (Direction Départementale des Affaires sanitaires et socials) and is inspected regularly to ensure that the pool adheres to these regulations put in place for public swimming pools. This ensures that the chemicals in the pool are at the correct levels for safe bathing and also that the water is clean and free from bacteria.

For parents peace of mind, security is considered a priority. The pool area and outside terrace is fully fenced with a security gate, which closes automatically. Outside pool opening times, the cover is closed and locked.
