La Lohuas Gites in Brittany

In general the weather in Brittany is milder and warmer than in Britain. The climate is often compared to Cornwall, but we are south of the channel islands, so it is often much better. In previous years we have been sat on deserted beaches having lunch in lovely sunny weather in the middle of October.

Average temperatures and number of hours of sunshine for Brittany are shown in the graph below.

As with all statistics, they only tell half the story. Last year, 2003, the weather in May and June was been glorious, with hardly any rain and temperatures consistently over 75 °F for many days. Whilst we can't guarantee sun, there is a good chance of a great gite holiday in Brittany outside of July and August. It's also less expensive out of season.
