Today we had 5 chicks hatch
Mother hen is a “Barbarie” or bantam, who was home bred 8 years ago. The eggs come from a friend’s flock because I no longer have a cockerel – I gave him away when he started to pick on Peter Paon, the peacock. Hopefully one of these little ones will be a male and can grow up and get along with Peter.
